Cyanotype is an early form of photography - an English botanist, Anna Atkins, learned the photogenic drawing technique from William Talbot, and English scientist. A family friend improved the technique, thus the invention of the cyanotype photographic process in 1842.

In the workshop, participants were encouraged to explore the environment through cyanotypes to capture the start of the summer season. We used the plants that are growing this time of year as the material in their cyanotypes.
